Allen Chiang

You may recognize Allen Chiang as the owner of China Garden.
You know China Garden.
The restaurant at 506 West Patrick Street, Frederick, Maryland.
The one that has won Best Chinese Food in Frederick County,
by Frederick Magazine and Frederick News Post, for the past 19 years.
Allen seems to remember who everyone, who walks through his door, is.
You may even find him, at your door, making a delivery.
He also is a Frederick American Little League sponsor.

Allen had some fun when I asked if I could take his photo.

I stumbled across Chris Wolfe,
when I went to pick up lunch at Brown's Liquor Store.
Tucked behind Brown's is this building full of antiques
and just about any unique garden item you may want.
Chris has Halloween and Christmas lawn ornaments and FLAMINGOS!

Joan & Hope

This is Joan, with her companion Hope.
Joan has had her Australian Shepherd for 6 years.
Joan got Hope to fill the void when her former Australian Shepherd
and her husband passed away.
Joan and her husband once owned a big black dog, known as Sergeant.
Sergeant used to jump his homes fence,
and meet his owner at the owners place of business, in downtown Frederick.
Joan's husband would bring Sergeant home and then return to work.
Sergeant would jump the fence, again.
Sergeant was well known to many in the downtown Frederick area.

Pink Ribbon 5K 2015

Today's post has many photographs, because it highlights the people who
participated in the Hurwitz Breast Cancer Fund - Pink Ribbon 5K Run/Walk.
3.1 miles in a constant spray type rain, and below 50 F degrees.
Congratulations to all who participated, and raised money for a great cause.
Prayers and best wishes to all who have survived breast cancer
(and any other type of cancer), and to all who are fighting now.

Clinton of Many Trades

This is Clinton. I first met him in 1994, when I started working
at the Frederick Post Office. Clinton is a retired clerk.
He was not one of the clerks you saw at the window.
He worked in the back, sorting mail.

Clinton at Giant Eagle deli.

Many of you may have recognized him from Giant Eagle.
Until the second week of August 2015, he worked the deli.

Clinton on East Patrick Street.

Since the third week of August, Clinton has worked for the city of Frederick.
He is getting used to walking around town, checking parking meters.
When you see him, say hi, but please don't give him grief for doing his job.
