Maria & Danny

I found Maria Rose & Danny Elswick at the Mariachi Restaurant, their favorite restaurant in Frederick.

I know, you are asking "Who are THEY?"
You may have seen them on "Midwest Country"on the RFD-TV channel.
They sing and play some great country and patriotic music.

They also travel the country, entertaining for the Good Sam Club, the USO, Special Olympics, churches, and many local events throughout the Maryland, Pennsylvania,
and West Virginia areas.

They just got back to Maryland, after filming the last
"Midwest Country Show"for the season, in Sandstone, MN.
They performed on the show with Marty Haggard.
Keep your eyes on the RFD-TV programming schedule.

Maria & Danny also have a very special auto,

and everyone seems to want their photo taken with it.

and "Whoo Dat" Honda

You see, on August 29, 2011, their Honda drove 500,000 miles,
over a 21 year period.
They were on local news and Canadian news,
and visited the Canadian plant where their Honda was born.
They got to meet Honda employees who actually built their auto.

Yes, they still drive their Honda around the country.

They just covered 16 states and over 4300 miles in the past two weeks!

Goodloe Byron & Pugloe

I had the pleasure of meeting Goodloe Byron, in his studio.
My friend, Shawn, brought me with her to pick up a watercolor she had commissioned for me.
I loved his work space. So bright with light and his work all around.
Everywhere I turned, there was an oil canvas or a pile of watercolors.
I had such a joyful visit, and of course I also met Pugloe.

This one is the little monster, el cucuy.

The Band and a Drummer

Always Astonished & Pugloe.
By the way, The Band and a Drummer is the watercolor done for me. I love flamingos, and my husband is a drummer. So fun!

This is a great story by Lauren LaRocca, in The Frederick News Post from May 10, 2012, about Goodloe Byron.    Frederick News Post article
