It is nice when one of our community comes to our home

to fix an important appliance.

 Jonathan, from Dave's Mechanical Services, came by to fix our air conditioner. 

Thank you, Jonathan for being good to us. We had a small bill and a repaired unit. 

Giant Eagle Beauties

 Shopping in Giant Eagle, on 7th Street, I just had to take these photographs.

Rose Marie has such a beautiful smile. I asked if I could take her photo and put it online. She shrugged her shoulders and said why not. She said she does not go on Facebook, but her grandchildren do. I gave her the address to this blog, so her grandchildren could find her photo. 

I love Giant Eagles fried chicken. At 11:00 AM, Shawna was displaying fresh chicken out of the fryer. Doesn't the fried chicken look so good? Wait! This photo is about Shawna. Shawna was so helpful and has such a cute smile, and she served me that delicious fried chicken.

A Pit Crew Update...

Yesterday, as I took my walk, I find Pit Crew staff

just finishing the last screws of their new sign.

The new address will be 880 North East Street,  Suite F, Frederick, MD 21701

Last Friday evening, Pit Crew held their first parking lot event at the new space.
The Baker Tour 2015 and Skateboard Magazine was there with ramps, poles, jumps, and other obstacles set up for skateboarding enjoyment and demos.

A tent with food was also enjoyed.

Iyvonne is one of our local CVS pharmacists. 

No matter how busy the pharmacy is, she always has a smile,

is concerned about you,

and is available for your medical needs. 

If you know Iyvonne, you've got to love her.

Sylvia & Dewey

My favorite roadside farm stand can be found on

West 9th Street, near Fairview Ave. 

I don't know how long Dewey & Sylvia have had this space,

but I used to live near there, for 6 1/2 years,

and they have been there many years before that. 

They have a large following of customers,

that look foward to seeing them come back every July.

They always have local produce, such as corn, peppers, watermelon,

peaches, squash, and my favorite, green tomatoes.

This couple is truly blessed.

With the oppressive heat index, my walk was short.

I wanted to see the new fountain, along Carroll Creek,

between South East Street and South Carroll Street.

I found Blair and his granddaughter Allie, enjoying a little water play.

There were a few people walking around downtown Frederick, 

but I think the heat index kept many away.

PITCREW is now located at 880 North East Street, suite B, Frederick, MD 21701, as extensive water damage at 207 North Market Street, forced the move.

Malcolm Bryan, and his crew, are working on the new location, just a few doors up from the current temporary space. This new location will have great outdoor space to test drive your new skateboard.

A Typical Day

Carey, of MoCoPup Pet Accommodations, with her daughter and vizsla, were visiting from Dickerson. Their vizsla is still a pup, and they were getting her acclimated to people.

Early July 4th @ the 99.9WFRE stage

I spent some time at the 99.9WFRE stage, this July 4th. 

I was able to see some old friends and new.
Being the wife of a musician, and a former roadie,

 I know all the work involved in entertaining. 
It is all done for the crowds enjoyment, 

and with Debbie, there is always a charity involved.

4th of July, 2015

I spent part of my 4th around Fleming Ave. and West College Terrace. I was there for 12:30 PM, and with lingering rain clouds, many waited to come downtown. I had no trouble finding parking.

As I walked my way to and from my car, I took many photographs. I found people walking, preparing food, eating food, vaping, sharing time with family, listening to music, relaxing, and just having a good time.
